Drink local beer at The Suburban Brew Goodwood

The Suburban Brew Goodwood at 96 Goodwood Road is one of the best things to happen to the inner south in recent years. Adelaide's original independent craft brewery taproom, open since 2020, it's the kind of local pub that most suburbs wish they had — relaxed, comfortable, good beer, and a reason to come back every week.

The full Suburban Brew core range is on tap alongside rotating seasonals and limited releases brewed at the Glynde Brewhouse. Reggie's Detroit Pizzas operates from the front of the venue during trading hours — square-cut, crispy-based Detroit-style pizza for dine-in or takeaway.

Every Wednesday at 6pm the venue runs Survey Says — a gameshow-style trivia event that fills the taproom mid-week. One of the better Wednesday nights in Adelaide's inner south.

Grab a Detroit-style pizza from Reggie's

Reggie's Detroit Pizzas operate from the front of the Suburban Brew Goodwood venue. Detroit pizza is square-cut, baked in a deep steel pan with a thick crispy base and cheese pushed right to the edge. It's different from your standard Adelaide pizza and it works well with a cold pint. Available for dine-in or takeaway during trading hours.

Walk Goodwood Road

Goodwood Road is one of Adelaide's better neighbourhood strips — not as busy as Unley Road, not as gentrified as some of the eastern suburbs, just a proper local main street with a mix of cafes, restaurants, small businesses and a decent food offering across different times of day. Worth a wander if you're in the area.

Goodwood Community Centre and surrounds

Goodwood has solid local infrastructure — parks, community spaces and easy access to neighbouring suburbs like Clarence Park, Millswood, Cumberland Park and Black Forest. The Goodwood Oval area is a good spot for a walk if you're getting fresh air before or after a session at the taproom.

Getting to Goodwood

Goodwood is about 10 minutes south of the Adelaide CBD by car via Unley Road or Goodwood Road. Street parking is available on Goodwood Road and surrounding streets. Buses run regularly along Goodwood Road from the city.
