Things to do in Adelaide this August: events at The Suburban Brew Glynde

If you're after live music, a laugh, or just a reason to get out of the house this August, Glynde is the place to be. Here's everything on at The Suburban Brew this month.

1st August: Unplugged At The Brew w/ Ben Timmis

2pm to 5pm, free entry, $8 core range pints. Ben Timmis brings a stripped-back acoustic set to kick the month off right.

2nd August: SALA Artist Launch Party, Biomorphic Reveries by Beiha-Malen Yanez

Beiha-Malen Yanez launches her SALA exhibition Biomorphic Reveries at The Suburban Brew Glynde, exploring the relationship between internal experience and the natural world through organic forms.

4th August: Raising The Bar

20 talks, 10 bars, 1 night. The Suburban Brew is one of the venues hosting this free citywide event, where experts and locals take over Norwood Payneham and St Peters pubs for a night of short, sharp talks.

5th August: Open Mic Night

First Wednesday of every month, 5pm to 8pm. Every performer gets their first drink free. Musicians, poets, comedians, all welcome.

8th August: Saturday Spin, Vinyl Kick Back w/ DJ Es'Ay and K&H Duo

4pm to 8pm. DJ Es'Ay spins vinyl with support from K&H Duo for a relaxed Saturday afternoon session.

9th August: Latin Sunday Sessions w/ DJ Hugo Salcedo

3pm to 8pm. DJ Hugo Salcedo brings Latin rhythms, salsa and bachata vibes for a Sunday afternoon that doesn't feel like a Sunday.

15th August: Ruby Zoontjens Duo

7pm to 9pm. Adelaide vocalist Ruby Zoontjens performs live at Glynde.

16th August: Lazy Sunday Blues w/ Nate & Stinky Trio

3pm to 6pm. Blues on a Sunday afternoon, exactly as it should be.

22nd August: 63 Deluxe w/ Le Club Due Groove

Tickets $20. Adelaide modern blues trio 63 Deluxe headline with support from Le Club Due Groove.

23rd August: Sunday Stomp at TSB w/ The Vigilantes

2pm to 5pm. Rock 'n' roll, rockabilly and Texas blues from The Vigilantes.

28th August: Pinducation

From 6pm. Play and learn pinball, a laid-back Friday night session at Glynde.

29th August: Bands On Tap 14 w/ DERAILED & Sudden Comfort

7pm to 10pm. Alternative rock from Castle Plaza and classic rock covers from Sudden Comfort, with DERAILED headlining.

30th August: Embers Glow

4pm to 7pm. Country and blues inspired acoustic music to close out the month.
